Appear Offline to Selected Users on Facebook chat
Are you feeling bother by the people asking you to chat all the time? You may think to hide yourself from them on Facebook chat to get rid of. Now, you are looking for a way to be invisible from that disturbing peoples. Okay. Blocking a specific list of friends on Facebook chat probably will be the best way for you. That means, if you block someone or a group of people , Face Book will show your Offline status to the selected users.
Blocking friends from Facebook chat is simple and requires a few easy steps.
1. Creating a friend list
2. Display it to Facebook chat pane
3. Go offline to that list
Creating a list
Put your friends into friend lists on Facebook before you can block friends from Facebook chat. To create a friend list on Facebook follow the steps bellow:
1. Login to you Facebook account
2. Go to “Friends” Page
3. Hit on “Create New List“.
4. An ajaxed new window will open from where you need to select the friends.
5. After completing selection click on the “Create List”
Your list is created.
Display it to Facebook chat pane
Now you need to add the list you created on Facebook chat pane to be blocked. On chat pane click on “Friend List“. From the dropdown menu select the List to be displayed.
Go offline to that list
Now Your list to be blocked is displayed on your Facebook chat pane. To the right of each of the names of every friend list you’ll see a little oval icon that’s half green and half white. If you hover your mouse over it, it will say “Go Offline“. Click that icon to make that group see you as offline.
Everyone in that list will now think that you are offline and will not ask to chat with you. If you don’t want to chat at all you can do this with every group. To have them see you as online again, just click the icon again.
For specific someone to be blocked follow the same way. Create a list with that specific one. Without putting someone in a friend list you can’t block them that is can’t be invisible to him/her.
