On 14th date of this month,in a short announcement, the giant Google entered into the market of URL shortening service. Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends.
But Google URL Shortener is currently available for Google products and not for broader consumer use.Google Toolbar and the FeedBurner syndication service now utilize goo.gl for link sharing.
If you are a Google chrome user then you can now use Google URL shortening service goo.gl directly to short any URL on your browser.You need to install an extention which allows you to shorten the current website URL with the new Google URL Shortener service http://goo.gl/. Download the Google chrome extention from here.

Once compressed the url you can copy to the clipboard with the handy copy function.Make sure you are using the latest version of Google Chrome.
OR, you are a Firefox user you can follow the following ways-

2. goo.gl lite Firefox extension. [ Download ]
3. goo.gl bookmarklet . [ Download ]
The bookmarklet is very powerful which you can use in any of the browser and will get a pop up telling you the shortened url which can be copied quickly.
